The warehouse employees don't care at all about the product once it is loaded. I always put my own straps on the product in the back but that doesn't help with the product in the front of the trailer.

Exactly right. All the product in my experience so far that falls over is in the middle of the trailer. They stacked a load of Gatorade halfway on top of a half load of paper towels lol Needless to say the store manager wasn't happy.

So everything is still rolling. I got a Mon thru Fri gig going in at 2 am and off by around 11 am. Running Richmond a lot and local stuff. Freight seems steady..only complaint is dispatch on night crew obviously don't communicate with the am crew. But other than that its not bad..pretty laid back and 73mph trucks.

They must of turned the trucks up, 73 mph is great to pass and get around someone quickly. That is so true about night dispatch and day dispatch, they are suppose to keep pass down notes so that everyone knows what is going on but seems like it doesn't happen regularly. Cool to get a Mon-Fri gig pretty quick, I always worked the weekends but really didn't mind.

Yes it is nice to have the 73mph. It is a pretty good job gets old running Richmond repeatedly but other than that and dispatch it isn't that bad.

I heard Titus was going mainly to the autoshifts,i is this true ? And what are their tractors like for regional drivers..also didn't they have at one time a run from va to Chicago down to Texas and back to GA..If they have a run kinda like that then that could be a nice run...or is it mostly local dc's to stores now...and info would be nice.

Where I'm at all of the trucks except a few of the rentals are 10 speeds. As far as OTR runs..they have one that goes to near Cinci and another to ATL. Both layovers..but mostly all the runs are to local stores etc. Pretty easy job to be honest.

Old thread but looking for current info on these guys - specifically the Salem VA barn. I'd like to get away from hazmat and fingerprinting everything.

    Pay? Equipment? Overall review?

Ironic I took another local job that started today. In orientation, there is a lady that was a dispatcher for Titus for a few years.

Across the board, she has nothing positive to say about Titus. Questionable payroll practicing cea, a leased truck fleet that commonly has trucks visited by the repo man, questionable safety practices, questionable leadership and management, so on and so forth.

This is all, obviously, hearsay and I only know her from a few hours of orientation day 1, so take that as you will but unless you're a day 1 CDL grad desperate to stay local, I'd probably recommend passing on this gig. For better or worse, I'm glad I did the same.

Once I have seat time, I'll post a review of the company I wound up with.

    Thanks. Stay safe

I started the Titus / ALDI thing in April. It's often chaotic scheduling, but to sort of be fair the location is for a brand new warehouse serving many brand new stores and some are still opening so the whole thing might take a long time to settle down.

Our warehouse preloads the trailers which is nice if the pallets don't tip. It's mostly okay, but sometimes an absurd spill. Sometimes just a pallet leaning and if you're really lucky, can be pushed back. It still blows my mind they can't figure out a streamlined way to secure these palletized loads.

For what it's worth, my job market in southern Alabama really sucks for local home daily jobs so here I am. For a new job opportunity in my area I think the hourly rate and home time offered is much better than many other companies here.
