Boycott TA

Sounds like life is kinda tuff for you ??? When i started driving many years ago i thought it was pretty amazing that truck stops would allow tons and tons of trucks to park on there property for no charge.

 

It is not bad enough that you pay a premium for their goods and services, after you spend a fortune on fuel? Now they want to take advantage of you when they know the ELD's are forcing a shutdown, because they know you will have to pay. Truckers have always been a cash cow for these slime balls.

 

Well, yes, making money off truckers is probably the main reason truck stops exist.

That doesn't mean I like paying to park, but most of the TAs that have very large numbers of paid spots are in parts of the country where parking is hard to come by.

 

That's a good reason to have that...i like it in areas like that because i can reserve my spot and not worry about finding one

 

I say if the drivers would stick together and really demand more money and lobby to be classified as a skilled trade... we might get respect from everyone. Refuse to train for the companies. You'll see a change. Paid parking and other abuse goes hand in hand with the rest of the bullying. This industry is full of broken people.

 

Your in the wrong country. There are places were the workers stick together and demand there fair share. You may want to move to North Korea or Veneasuala. Maybe Cuba or Russia , also China I think is in the fight for workers rights deal. Check them out might be a workers paradise there.
