My first set of steer tires on this truck were Bridgestone, they were ok, but then I got a set Michelin, what a difference! In my opinion Michelin is best for steers, since driving trucks 38 years ago I always preferred Michelin because of better handling and truck running smoother. When I got the Yokos I thought they were harder and she was running in all directions on rough roads, not straight as with the Michelin.
Got a set of new Yokos on the drives after my tire blowout with the recaps, running much better!
For steers I would always recommend Michelin even they are pricier!
But I'm just a company driver![]()

I'm just glad that I didn't end in the ditch or caused an accident. It was not a problem to keep control of the truck, fortunately there was nobody behind me and I could pull over to the right side. I had a gross weight of about 79000 lbs with 12200 lbs on the steers and 34100 on the drives with full fuel tanks and I had just fueled in Wells NV short before.bzinger, Vic Firth, Farmerbob1 and 2 others Thank this.

I'm very happy with the new yokos on the drives but when I wore out my Michelin steers last winter I went with bridgestones and hate em ! They ride like poo.

You are just down the road from me. I'm home for the weekend, but not sure where I'm headed tomorrow. Did you see there was a bad car explosion down there in Center City Allentown last night. FBI, ATF, and locals all on scene. Preliminary thoughts are that it was intentional...

No......
Lay over in Newark DE, drove to PA in the morning.
Did you see anything on the news? -
I'm hanging my new ceiling fan, I started doing that three weeks ago when it was delivered... I have the blade attachments installed so far... Drinking Miller Lite, I need to lose some weight, and on this stupid site typing away... I think I'll take a couple of more days off... I did clean the garage yesterday, put a huge dent in it... Now need to run up to the local deli and get some dinner.
Farmerbob1 Thanks this.
