Alex Logistics in Parkridge, Chicago Illinois- Anyone looking for a job needs to STAY FAR away from this company. As of 9/14/2018 they owe me back wages of $5100.00 plus my security deposit of $1500.00. I am not the only driver who has filed complaints against this company, I personally know 3 drivers who have not been paid for over 3 weeks and who have since left the company in despair. Also, during the last couple of months I've found numerous complaints online from other drivers with the same problem. No matter how hard I worked, or rhe fact that I was ALWAYS on time, and stayed in constant communication with the dispatcher it still resulted in me losing my pay.

    1. When will you people learn to check these companies BEFORE you hire on?

    2. Why would you EVER pay an employer a security deposit?

I had a landscaping contractor ask me for half up front the other day. Yeah, right, let me get right on that. Don’t EVER give anyone money upfront. That’s consumer protection 101.

If they don’t have enough operating capital to buy materials and pay wages without asking customers for half down, then they’re not on solid ground to begin with. Find someone else!

Same goes for these trucking company bums. The employee doesn’t pay the employer to work there. It’s the othe other way around.

Reading some of these posts reminds me of a movie line:

“Christ all mighty, it’s like sitting here with brother’s kids, you bunch of nerve racking....”

    Lol

When you apply to a Company get the owners full name DOB and DL number. With that info you can run a background check.

If they refuse to provide it, it is a bad sign. Either they have done something or are hiding something.

Also with their name you can do a warrant search. If they have warrants just let the local Sherrif's department know and that will be that.

And if you get their grandmother’s name and number you can find out if they prefer Fruit Loops or Lucky Charms for breakfast.

As people report these companies they will slowly die a miserable death and disappear. The owner of the company reported on this thread must be wetting his pants when he finds out the Police will be involved. Ditto for the Z Transportation guy who threatened a Drivers wife and kids.

I think 6 months from now there will be far fewer Chicago area companies taking advantage of Drivers.

I wont take complete credit for it, and I shouldnt as there are other people involved doing their thing too.

Anyway, I see big changes happening in trucking the last 3+ months of 2018. Smaller Chicago area companies are fading out, I do think one or 2 megas will fold by the first of the year. Finally I think our President will intervene at the first sign of the long awaited truckers strike with a moratorium on ELDs for maybe 6 months.

Something is brewing. Its going to be interesting to watch it unfold.
