Me thinks the boys and girls in Jopmo have been reading this thread. They read how I handle hurricanes so they had me drop the SC load at the Jacksonville yard. Deadhead to Dothan grab a load going to Louisville.

Since I'm off the load, it don't matter. But even if they waive HOS, I wouldn't push it past 11 hours...thats a long enough day. I might shorten the break a little if allowed, but that's my limit.paul_4lp, hollywood76, mitrucker and 1 other person Thank this.

Same, I like to do the maximum amount of work with the least amount of effort. Smooth sailing here. Hence the rail yards. If I make a train do my work I can kick back and and enjoy the view.

Hey everyone hope y'all are doing good, stay out of trouble and of course staying safe. Things are great with us, after leaving CFI back in Feb, we moved to a company we thought would be great but right after moving over there they changed a lot of stuff and then we found out our medical insurance was going to be close to 300 aweek, so we left and are now at Crete really loving them. Hubs is making .54cpm to start with a penny raise annually, per diem, quarterly safety productivity bonus and we've been averaging between 2800-3200, last week we got 3331. I love all the terminals they have here, also most Wal-Mart DC loads we do are drop and hooks, no more waiting hours and hours. In general a lot of the loads we do are drop and hooks, and haven't had any hazmat, don't think we haul many. Have a great weekend

Oh ...Breem you're gonna awake up Surfer Joe with all that leavin CFI talk ..lol
I thought about Crete...but the talk of sleep apnea scared me off ... Any issue with hubby ??RoadRooster Thanks this. -
LMBO surfer Joe. My husband has had apnea for 18yrs and hasn't had any issues. Crete has their own sleep study done at certain terminals and if they feel you need to be tested then they test you, if don't have it then you go on, but if you do then they'll set you up with a machine which runs abt 900 that can be payroll deducted. If you already have apnea and want to do a study you can and if you need a new machine they will upgrade you for 450 as long as you already have a machine, the 450 is payroll deducted also. They also put a small 300 watt inverter in your truck which has its own battery system that charges off the batteries, this way when you run opt-idle your machine doesn't shut off and on. All trucks have 1500 watt inverters, older trucks don't have fridges but you have the option to get a truck fridge brand one through them payroll deducted. Crete is a debt free company. Their medical insurance for employee plus spouse is $93, vision and dental is around 10 total i believe and its Blue Cross Blue Shield branch. Also just for you Paul they have a terminal in Deland,FLpaul_4lp and RoadRooster Thank this.

So this is what retirement is like...2 weeks off, work two days, do a 34. nap and repeat. Doing a 34 at Pilot at exit 22 in I 65 in Tenn. Not a nice place, but I have the wifi subscription, and a free shower. Tomorrow I will walk over to the Tennesseean for some of pops barbeque and then waddle back. Deliver at 22:00 in Louisville on Monday night. shouldn't be too much trouble getting a parking spot after I get empty...another facepalm moment brought to you by Hurricane Florence.
