Are you kidding. That truck never turns off.
Fuel every 24 to 30 hours being a team. Even as a single that truck does not turn off, especially in winter.
The iron in those days were very reliable. No worries as long you have adequate pressure from bottom to top.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
Without an apu, idle will be near or above the 50% range. It's just the way it is.
I used to run my truck for 2 or 3 weeks straight, in winter, or above 70° for AC.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Had a Webasto bunk heater as well as the Webasto coolant heater for winter, and in the summer I tried to sleep where I knew it would be a little cooler unless I couldn’t avoid it (I realize for many that this isn’t an option, only stating what I did when running the NW) and my idle time stayed right around 12% pretty consistently. But I wasn’t running in the SW or anywhere that was unbearable without a/c for sleeping.

Im at 1%-2% idle this week. a few weeks when it was horribly hot out I was at about 32%....

As much as I need to make it comfortable, whether the company likes it or not. Not gonna bake in the summer or freeze in the winter...

Always, unless it is cold out. Maybe 55 degrees or less, then we run the bunk heater. As a team, we are mostly rolling anyway.
Not going to open any windows. If someone parks next to you with an APU, you are going to suck fumes. Plus truck stops tend to smell like piss, and they are noisy.
