The title is one of many statements made by a recruiter to keep a prospect believing the job will work out. They KNOW what experienced drivers will tell newbies and get in first. "Just because THEY screwed up doesn't mean YOU will" "YOU'RE willing to work hard, did you ever notice that lazy people are always negative?" I hope some that have gone through the grinder, and made it out still a driver, will post some phrases they heard from recruiters. We have all seen posts by newbies who think it will be different for THEM at CR England, Werner, etc. How can we make them aware?

I say we all crusade across America and walk the truckstops, put fliers on all the truck’s windows.

That’s all I can think of.

I very rarely deal with recruiters. I think I may have one or two, probably through these forums that have done well with me in conversations about trucking. But I would say 9.5 of 10 recruiters out there are not worth the diploma on their office that says they are a recruiter.

I hate to be difficult, but if you really want to know a company talk to the drivers or better yet sit quietly in the company drivers room for a while and listen to the talk. You don't even have to say anything.

Most drivers have good work ethics what companies need to do is meet the drivers in the middle there has to be a bit of give and take by both sides, eg expecting a driver to make his appointment when his 11 hours are up? Dispatchers making unreasonable demands of drivers etc etc i worked for a company that never hounded us there was a good working relationship between us and the dispatchers we were always given plenty of time to make our deliveries company always had us back by the end of the week to get us home time and reset out 34 hour we always got paid every Tuesday so i will always have fond memories of that company who i believe always treated us drivers with respect we are human beings not just a number on a computer.

It’d have to pretty small. Plus, it’s hard to fly straight with only radar to navigate and also trying to ensure my widow’s peak stays perfect.

Plus there's the night thing you insist on. We'll think of something else.
