Jet fuel is kerosene, it burns but doesn't explode.

The article said it had been hauling airplane fuel. Could have been 100LL.
lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
BTW trailer without any placards where it suppose to be.
-
Good catch. The news media has been known to get things wrong.AM14 Thanks this.

Looks like there might be a placard on the front bulkhead in the second picture on twitter. Can't read it, but it looks lighter than the surrounding stuff. Also looks like there's motor oil or something sprayed all over that truck. Not sure what that's about.
AM14 and Snailexpress Thank this. -
Here is picture of undamaged driver side and rear of the trailer. Cant see even placard holder in place.
-
Late to the party as usual, but it sure looks like oil to me. as stated, no placards minus what looks to be an old flip placard up front. Just because it was "empty" doesn't mean it was clean and without residue or some decent heel. A news reporter wouldn't know the difference. People see an elliptical tank and jump right to fuels which is what it seems the media did here. Many of our Oil Only tanks are ellipticals like the one in question
Bud A. Thanks this.
