I did my training out there. Everyone was awesome! Friendly, helpful, respectful. I know they are very busy there. That is a corporate office there. They used to buy lunch for everyone on Friday’s. I mean everyone drivers included. Not sure if that’s still something they do it’s been awhile since I’ve been out there.

I've ran some loads out of there and the folks are friendly. The place stays busy almost 24/day. They have their struggles like keeping up with the demand for clean trailers but other than that its pretty decent. Plenty of parking and close to trucks in both directions, East & West.

I worked out of the Morris terminal for about 2 years. I eventually quit because I was tired of waiting for a clean trailer for 2 hrs or more every day. Also the scale house has a hard time keeping up and often I would have to wait on 5-6 trucks just to scale in or out. I have heard they expanded their tank wash but still have long waits for clean trailers. If your planning on being I regional or local driver get ready for a lot of waiting. System drivers are out on the road loading out of other terminals so that would not be as bad. They are buying new trucks but chances are as a new driver you will end up with a truck that has 1 million + miles on it.

I drive one of those older trucks but I like it. No DEF and 13 speed manual transmission is worth it. I'd only trade out if forced to or a brand new truck became available. Even then I'd be apprehensive for a long time. Ive have nothing but issues with newer trucks.

Yea I agree, I had a 379 with a 13 speed and it was a great truck. It was taken care of by the previous driver. Unfortunately that’s not the case with most of the old A&R trucks. A few of the guys I trained quit shortly after because the were given filthy trucks that were breaking down constantly. I told A&R they need to detail the trucks before they were given to new drivers. A few of them were nasty and the new drives had to spend the first day just cleaning there truck.

In Columbus they get cleaned usually by our custodian. He details them as good as can be for older equipment. It's not really an issue. My first truck issued at Schneider was beyond gross. I was so excited to get "my truck" and I almost puked when I opened the door. I can't conceive working in such filth even if the guy went home everyday. If it wasn't my first job I'd hit the bricks and got the funk out.
