well i can tell ya what your problem is. your in the wrong industry, get a job being a lawyer or a DOT officers if you feel that way. I have a sneaking suspicion that you cant get either of those because of your background. You seriously have a mental illness. being a rolling road block forcing other drivers to do illegal moves, then recording them, snitching only gets your stitches.
the real fact is if people like you leave this industry, and we have more
Courteous safe drivers we wont have a problem anymore. just quit
it would be best for you, best for us that take this job seriously.

I explained I was running in the middle lane as what is called Path of Least Resistance, it allows merging traffic an easy on/off and reduces conflicts (crashes) with the big trucks. And just because the speed limit is 75 does not mean it is against the law to go slower; indeed there is a interpretive provision, a law enforcement officer can and will ticket a driver for driving too fast for conditions even if they are going the speed limit or even less than the speed limit if they are driving too fast for the conditions.
I think 70 is fast enough, 75 or more is just wasting natural resources and stealing them from future generations to enjoy. 5 more miles per hour will not a millionaire make either. -
Also, driver facing cameras will be the next move to catch those cheating the ELDs. Claiming you are in the sleeper or off duty while working will be caught via dash cam soon enough. I hope you and the Safety guy at Christner get real cozy in your undies.
I don't know why you have such an issue with cameras anyway. If you have nothing to hide; what's the problem? You're clearly a perfect person who never breaks laws (at least the only ones you agree with) so you should have nothing to fear, right? I'm willing to bet you get caught fiddling with electronic devices while driving and that's why you're so mad at driver facing cameras. They will interfere with your snitching. Or maybe you simply don't like being filmed? Guess you'll be getting a taste of your own medicine soon enough. Karma's a #####; ain't it?!Long FLD, MartinFromBC and truckdriverslave82 Thank this. -
I am actually for a driver camera.
Also a forward facing, and down each side of the truck aimed backward. I don't text, eat, or other bad habits while driving. So if someone tried claim i was texting or whatever and that is the cause, they will soon be proven a liar. Guess my level of paranoia is not as high as a few others. -
Maybe I have been going about this all wrong.... You all WANT driver facing cameras. Now I get it lol. Not a problem, I can change the theme of my gotcha phone videos to advocate the argument for driver facing cameras. I mean, they're coming anyway, why not get on the winning team?

I think JCT should maybe get an email or two about how absolutly dangerous it is that their drivers get so into conversations with their helmet cams that they start talking with their hands. Omg. Talk about distracted drivingmisterG Thanks this. -
