I heard a squealing noise today coming from top of the fill auger. I go up to investigate and here the bearing went out. Luckily we have another auger ready to go so we switched it out.

Looks like i'm running for parts tomorrow morning.

 

Sorry Tony I wasn’t ignoring you just needed time to type a response longer than “here’s what I’m hauling”. They’re just starting to catch on around here, as far as I know we’re the only ones who own any. Cat is the only one who makes motor scraper, in the right conditions theses will out work any motor scraper no problem and haul a lot more. In the open they’ll run 40+ MPH and with the four tires across rear they don’t tear up the haul road. Another good thing is exactly what you referenced, these trucks have excellent retarders so engine over speeding isn’t and issue and with full suspension they ride really good. I motor scraper has it’s place but these fill a niche and they’re cheaper.

Mid 50’s I’d guess, never hauled a pipe layer.

 

Handrails was the first thing that came to mind. Those kind of pale in comparison to what else is wrong. Stay safe around him.
