frankly, i'd suggest the dealership, and have them scan that. is the truck still under warranty?
if so, it could be a free fix. -
Is there a fuse we could change so we don't have to take it to a deership? It's a company truck so I'm not sure if it's still under warranty. If there is a fuse, where's it at?
-
you can try looking for a fuse. since it is a company truck, you can also call your shop for advice.
there are fuse panels in the "glove box" area, and under the hood, and there could be a panel at the drivers foot well or passenger side foot well, to name at least 4 places.Lisa Marie Coenen Thanks this. -
Speed sensor is usually on the tail shaft / tachometer on the bell housing (flywheel sensor) - remove, test resistance, clean replace etc.
This is a ‘’95 Pete though.
2017 - I’d be inclined to go to the dealer. -
If the odo, trip meter, hr meter and outside temp display in the bottom of the tach and speedometer have gone to dashes just all the sudden. Try turning the battery disconnect off then back on if so equipped. Or unhook/rehook the main battery supply. My 2018 pete will do this occasionally and its the body control module needs a quick reboot for some reason.
buddyd157 Thanks this.
