Walmart Transportation careers.

If im not mistaken, the background comes back rather quickly but your previous employer has up to like 30 days to respond to the verification. My process took me a total of 1 and a half months to have a employment offer. And 1 month from the end of employment from my previous employer to orientation here.

 

I was given a conditional offer of employment during the interview and a date for orientation.

 

I was given the same thing. Laurens dec 9. Where are you going to work? I’m supposed to start in shelby.

Just be aware running from Sutherland those boys don't play. You're gonna hit I95 all the time and they've been doing construction. Not to mention when hurricanes roll through it has a tendency to flood. Then you've got a bunch of narrow winding side highways to get to some of the towns around here that have a Walmart.

 

Sounds good to me. I'm about getting the job done. When I'm on the road, I'm all about that paper. I relax at the house.

 

Not to hijack the thread but does anybody know anything about running out of Shelby NC? I really haven’t been given any information from Walmart. I did my phone interview last week, filled out all the online background check forms and did a DOT physical and drug screen Wednesday.

 

I haven't really been able to get anyone to tell me what Sutherland is like before this last comment. LOL. It's a secret brotherhood.

 

Yeah I called hr this week to ask them about the class in laurens. Everything I’ve read online says you have to take the pretrip and road test before your hired so I assumed that’s what I would be doing there. She said it was orientation and my start date would be dec 9. I am currently employed and need to know if I should put in my notice before I go.

 

Good. I'm just telling you as someone who runs these back roads in NC/VA there's some roads down here that's going to have you clinching your butt cheeks together.

Shelby you're gonna be running through Charlotte traffic. And those idiots can't drive. You've got Panthers home games traffic, plus all the corporate traffic down there. There used to be a guy out there, one of the yard supervisors. Mike something or another. Real piece of work. Avoid if you can.
