Cig just cut drivers pay by $25,000 a year. Now they are short handed and they are advertising that drivers will make between $70,000 and $90,000 dollars a year. This is a complete lie. There is no possible way to make that amount of money, with the current pay scale. They just moved the salary to $65,000 from $60,000 because they couldn’t recruit any new drivers. They also offer $35 dollars per load, telling you in orientation that you will get 4 to 5 loads a day. This is a total lie, the most I ever hauled in one day was 2. They don’t tell you that dispatchers don’t know what they are doing. They don’t tell you you could be stuck on the well for 22 hours before they rescue you. They don’t tell you when they ask you to haul heavy haul and oversized that they do not have the correct permits. Everything they do is totally wrong. The owners and board of directors are the biggest idiots in the world. They know nothing about trucking, or the oilfield. Stay away from these people. Nothing but lies. They are the swift transportation of the oilfield. Laughing stock of the Permian basin.

It will be helpful if you offered what you think is the proper solution to the stack of lies.

Take oversize or heavy haul for example. You need permits in a certain order, manner and according to the state you are making that move. Arkansas for example has a pretty comprehensive list of what is required to have in hand before you attempt to move it a inch. Written and formatted in a way online that I can easily understand and do.

If YOUR company CIG told me to take this HH or OS somewhere in Arkansas today, I will make sure that I followed the State's requirements in permits, fees etc all in hand FIRST before I moved a inch. CIG has no choice but to comply. As a employee or in this case the agent of CIG tasked with making sure that the load is legal and so on CIG has to comply when I hand them the request for fees for the permits and so on before driving off.

If CIG wont do it? Then they have no business being in this industry. They would be displaying a form of greed for money hoping that I am too stupid to comply with my state's OS or HH requirements and fees.

The payroll is less of a concern. Why? If I only needed 30,000 dollars per year payroll to thrive nicely with everything paid off here in the South, I am not going to worry about 60K, 65K or 90K. I'll take whatever they give me even if it's "ONLY" 60K follow me?

Don’t worry, I would never. Cigs are bad for the living and the smoke is annoying to the undead.

While agree with the rest, no employer has ever or will ever know my financial status. It’s non of their business. I am greedy, i also believe in honoring your word. If you promise me $90,000 or $60,000 and i agree to it, you had better live up to tour end. I will hold up my end and do my job, but you must hold up your end as well.

This also falls on the prospective employees shoulder, look at the pay scale and do the math, is the advertised gross posible??? If it is and you take the job, hold them to it or get out.

The 30K figure is strictly a number that I pulled out of a hat for purpose to illustrate what I privately would have been happy with. I do not broadcast that information to employer.

The problem additionally with these wages are that they are not:

    1- Hard annual salary
2- varies too much, usually in the negative.
    3- Ignores taxes, Expenses etc.
4- Requires a trucker to consider emigrating to a NON tax state to seriously increase the pay.

I advoate salary over all. Without ANY defining BS speak like "Minimum, Guaranteed, With gotchass etc. IF you are going to pay someone salary, then by god cut the check the same #### number each payroll without any BS all year long. You will keep many happy drivers that way. (Regardless if they ran 1 mile or 3000)

As a side note, if YOU the big strong motor carrier with people working day and night cannot keep a truck rolling 3000 miles a week consistently, something is wrong with you and your outfit.
