I retake my road test anyway . The tester took me thru a school zone and I was going 28mph and that is a automatic failure of course. So soon as the school reschedules my test I should be good next time .

Never taken a road test. Back in the 70's just written test was required for Chauffeur's license, was grandfathered in for CDL's, had perfect record. When CDL's were first suggested , drivers were told it would be a separate license from regular license, and tickets received while driving personal vehicle would not go against CDL.
BigDog Trucker, Trucker61016, Bakerman and 1 other person Thank this. -
However the reason I had to take the road test twice is because the first time I took the road, the test truck would not pass the pre trip inspection. It had an air leak. I passed the inspection, and then passed the road test the next day. -
Well the first time I took the permit test it took me 3 tries. I let it lapse and took the test again a couple years later for a job, passed it on the first try. Two tries for skills and once for the road. Once for all endorsements as well
