Maybe the new Omnitracks units have them, but the older units did not, and like many have said, unless you're driving a volvo or a newer Paccar, I would be willing to bet that road noise is all they hear anyway. I have a mid priced, noise cancelling bluetooth, and it still has a certain amount of road noise that gets thru...and they're not Qualcomm anymore....Qualcomm sold that division and it's a seperate company called Omnitracks. Qualcomm is a CPU manufacturer for mobile devices.

All they would hear from me is the occasional screaming of System of a Down tunes and a whole lot of AM radio talk!

It's not hidden. It's in plain sight, at least it is on the IVG units. You can speak a particular "wake-up" comment (similar to saying "Alexa" or "Siri") and then ask it various questions and it will audibly respond to your request. Naturally, it isn't too much of a stretch to think if that unit is listening for certain key words, then the company can hear everything spoken. I demonstrated this feature to one of my coworkers who was riding with me to pick up his truck from the dealership.

I believe many keywords like “dispatcher”, “safety”, “HR”, etc. begins a recording and your company can hear what u are saying about them. Folks, be careful.

I found out why they have a hidden mic and possibly hidden camera. The video explains it all. Don't try to disconnect the computer/ELD. It's watching YOU.
