Wanting to try reefer

How is js helwig?

 

I drove for them for about 2.5 years and left about 4 years ago for a 12 month hiatus but did not return to them.

They were a good outfit at the time and probably still are as far as consistent operation. However they went to driver-facing cams a few years ago. They are primarily a meat hauler (drop/hook at meat plants) on the outbound legs and haul other temp controlled stuff back to TX and OK

 

Thanks... and also, how do the o/o do there? Maybe soon I go that route.

 

I'm not sure. Seems like the last time I saw a posting on the back of one of their trailer, they were doing CPM model at I want to say $1.15 + FSC (Their trailers). Not sure if they offer a percentage plan. I'm pretty sure they have 3 -4 years old tractors (well maintained) that come off of the company fleet that they will "rent" if you wanted to try them out.

 

The company that i'm working for is very good. Every week average is around 3000 , for Reefer they paying 55c/mile for Dry Van 50c/mil . All miles are paid loaded and empty.

Congratulations for wanting to try reefer. It is a wonderful way to experiment with drugs. I recommend smoking it out of a bong, or "tobacco water pipe," as they say in cannabis-prohibitive jurisdictions. Oh, don't drive a truck for a long time afterwards. What does this have to do with trucking??? I didn't even read any of the posts and only responded based on the title alone.

 

Carolina Cargo in Rock Hill, SC just reorganized and made lots of changes including a big pay increase. They run reefers to the west coast and back.

 

Know someone looking at them so came to check out what's here. According to my buddy, they were going to do percentage program but was easier to do rate increase. Said for ICs they pay $1.40 + FSC on loaded and $1 empty.
