    If I remember correctly, 40th infantry 223rd regiment. Was at Fort Knox and went in as 3rd armored division.

    From what I understand, when he went straight over there from basic and training, the 3rd armored division got attached to the 40th and the 223rd eventually became part of the 224th division because of all the casualties. I never could get a whole lot outta him about it growing up. It wasnt until not long before he died I got to hear things. Guess he never wanted us kids to know much about war until we grew up and became men.

    How fortunate we all are in my generation.

    Kevin was dispatching today down there. You're right about 54/400 though, if you're not 3 wide somewhere down through there it's odd. Today it turned really foggy east of Leon for 20 miles or so and 1/2 the cars didn't have lights on while others are passing with 100' of visibility....amazing how stupid people can be at times.

    Stockyard's....right at 400 & 59 junction. Most of the time I turn and burn out of there. Like today I rolled in, broke my set, built another set and headed to Wichita, broke down and built a set and made it back to Salina in 7hrs42min. In a 64mph truck, LOL.

    @catalinaflyer beat me to it.
