I’ve done a lot of stuff with homemade tools. It’s not always better. I understand if it’s an ox in the ditch type thing, but there is a reason for specialty tools.

I agree with you sometimes I act stupid. Been working on it lately russ. I won't make any excuses as six says stupid is a choice and I'll sit back and not put my foot in my mouth. I go back over some of the stuff I've said and face palm myself. I have a lot of respect for you guys. Seriously wore thank you for saying what's your mind and im sure a few others also.

I agree if making a living I would buy a quality one but A model seems to know his stuff

I can't really justify the cost of a puller kit at this point. I've only ever done 2 or 3 engines prior to this one so its not like it'd ever get much use.

Plan the old man and I came up with is to simply just pop a hole in a piece of heavy steel and set it on some hardwood blocking to prevent damaging the top of the block. Have a couple really long 5/8" grade 8 bolts I'm hoping will work. If not I'll have to wait a few more weeks to tackle this again.

Jesus H Christ. Broke 2 more straps after loosening it up and giving it room to flex about. I've now used all my spares. Hopefully itll get to at least my drop point otherwise I've got to go buy some more and charge it to the company.

    To everyone

I'll sit back and not flap my gums. I'll humble myself and tone it down a few notches.

can you take a picture of your trailer from the side just front of trailer to dot bumper. no cab in shot. about mid belly probably about 20 feet away.

then take a shot of your dunnage as it sits now and what straps you have on it.

I think we may be missing something from your previous pics.
