I just got yelled at by the only dispatcher who still works at said company for not delivering a load on time. How the hell was I suppose to know most shippers/receivers are 24/7? I'm not a mind reader.

Anyway, I got a new job lined up and I really do not care IF they keep my last paycheck, Chizek is a ruthless small company that'll starve, freeze, and treat their drivers like a pile of manure.

Happened to me one time, I assumed a place wasn't open on the weekend so I took my time driving from NJ to Georgia all weekend, was before eld's, and got an earful come Monday when dispatch found out I accomplished nothing all weekend. Oh well, you live and learn I suppose

the load I was suppose to deliver too isn't open at certain times, I delivered there twice to know. The only place open 24/7 is the paper mills.

There’s an easy way to find out the operating hours for any business. Simply call them.

That said, yelling at a subordinate, co-worker, etc... is uncalled for.

That’ll get you sent home where I work. The owner makes that very clear when he goes through the employee handbook with you.

What if the Kentuckian is uncooperative?

So you picked up a load and didn’t ask when it delivers?
Yelling at you is not called for, but you as a driver should know your delivery date and time.
If no one told you ask, be proactive.

Also, the ulterior motive is to see if I can pick up or deliver early. :)

Oh, I’ve found Kentuckians to be most cooperative, and generous, in every regard. ;)
