do you blow the air horn for kids?

I thought u drive for Melton? Changed jobs?

 

Ya last summer I hit my 2 year date and left for a better paying smaller company. Still flatbed.

Was driving through a town in IL on a highway. Some kid playing in the front yard waved when I was at a stop light. Waved back. Then he started pumping. It's late like 8pm, OK sure, why not. He watched me drive by like the truck was the coolest thing he's ever seen.

 

All I have is a crappy little city horn that sounds like a KIA. So I either have to seem like a dick and ignore them or let them down with my pathetic little horn.

 

It's a natural reaction. I see kids arm pump, I pull. Miles of smiles

 

i do it all the time for kids. just got train horns for christmas. that will make it even more fun

Sometimes I'll grab the air horn, but then hit the city horn... Shrug my shoulders as if to say "That's it, sorry." Then as they pass, I lay on the horn for 5 seconds or so and watch the face(s) light up.
