mercer transportation

Anyone hear anything about Mercer and Landstar joining up together? Guy I know said his Mercer recruiter told him that last week.

 

Seems a little farfetched... Would think current contractors would have been informed before someone who isn't even yet affiliated with Mercer....

I do well. Waiting to load tomorrow for Detroit delivery. Got next 2 weeks planned after that. How are things with you?

 

Finished up my UPS an Sunday before Christmas. Now just waiting to go back out my 2 rugrats are driving me up the wall but I am doing good. I will probably go back out tomorrow or Thursday. When I left mine was set to change at 5mph regardless of mileage.

 

Landstar has been with mercer for years ask the old timers there.had to do with operating athority

 

Glad mine hasn't been like that.

 

Any factual proof to this or just lunch counter type talk from drivers?

 

I've heard they had some of the same owners that started both companies but that has long since past.
And does it matter as they are not gona merge as it wouldn't be of any benefit to either.
