Just proves that a CDL is about meaningless.
Read what rule #2 says in the CDL possession requirements section.

 

Could you tell us rule #2, I have idea where to find it.

 

Must be able to read and converse in the English language.

 

Well heel I'd hate to ask what no.1 is if no.2 is so basic.

I’ll be dead honest with you.

I consider myself above stupid level - but my mind works like flip flop guy.

The little signs “ Raise trailer - Lower trailer” confuses the tar out of me. Always has.

Raise legs, raise trailer, blah blah blah.

Working LTL I switched trailers often. I just learned resistance and watched movement. Memorized it.


Pulling 5th wheel.

Still remember the first time one wouldn’t release. A guy I asked explained . . .

“You wouldn’t want the jaws to release while pulling it , right?

“No sir “

“So, back into it a little to release the pressure, with the trailer brakes set, then set the tractor brakes”

“Aaaaaah. Thanks! Can I buy you coffee? “

“ I’m good - be safe out there kid”.
