Black Smoke Matters

I experimented with facebook back in 2010 to 2014. It took me 2 years to understand anything about it and how to make family part of it (They had been for years) and then meet new friends on my private page which was required out of necessity of making way too many enemies out of nothing.

I am damaged by a State of Maryland's education system that imposes a excessively left liberal leaning mindset on all of my deaf classmates. We did not know anybetter, only what we were taught and what is correct. and only that path. Part of my family is patriots hardcore as they should be. We ended up crossing swords on it because I am somewhat moderate. We finally patched it up and made peace because it's really silly to be making each other enemies over a stupid facebook stuff.

Then I learn that people are triggered by my big mouth. A un-moderated mouth mind you. Finally the pushback from the enemies turned into valid threats that break our laws here in Arkansas. I went ahead and destroyed every trace on my end after pulling everything off the FB server back in 2014. Many of my good friends did the same thing. Family too.

Burned FB to the ground. And walked away from it pernametnly. Particularly when FB started censoring, then shadowbanning then ghosting me to where I think everything is fine but none of my 1000 or so friends heard or read a word from me typing and posting or even uploading video. My friends did not know how to get to me because FB constantly memory holed them when they tried to seek me out while maintaining a mirror house illusion that all is well on my end. Then FB started making threats against me community violations and such over nothing at all. A Nativity for example. was deemed a dangerous and actionable threat from me when I posted a picture via FB.

It's BS. Then I understood FB is the enemy itself. Everything I am, said or tried to defend in the name of our God, our Nation and the actual history was consistently erased, banned, shadowed, ghosted into oblivion with no one ever seeing anything on my end.

The last straw is the revelation that they harvested me and my own posts for material to sell to others who crave that kind of pretty deep personal data. I have no one to blame but myself for being a used and abused unpaid source of something designed to exploit me down the road.

I slashed burned it all. Then started backing up virtual manure carts to pave over what's left so it's truly odious and caused FB to finally hardban me to where I will never be able to type a letter anywhere on their platform for life. Which is fine by me, and intentional.

Good point and I hope this grassroots campaign will work... but it will require drivers to get active and work together to make a difference.

 

True, IMO, and that's why we need to get more drivers involved in this non-union group.

Strike because of what?

 

I'd like to see a strike avoided, and this new group can help more drivers work together to improve the challenges we all face like bad laws and regulations.

 

none of these protests will work because differing groups are fighting against each other, by the end of the day. i'm willing to bet that a whole bunch of those Black Smoke Matter types were the same who posted memes of bloodied moose bumpers during Black Lives Matter actions--and talk about unoriginality when it comes to naming their protest group!

the only way the "government" and their corporate interests will ever take notice is if Truckers/environmentalists/anit-racist activists/water sovereignists/anti-captalists/union workers/health care workers/teachers/farmers/people with disabilities/weight lifters/dog walkers....the list can go on....

and I suppose in short,

if ALL people banded together to fight the common enemy--Corporate government policies, aka, revolution--only then would we have a chance.

but we're too busy fighting each other because of ego, prejudice, lateral violence and pettiness....and, dare i say it, keeping afloat in this near-to rat race we're all in.

 

All you would need is a few hundred trucks to block the major travel lanes of every interstate, tollway and freeway in, out of and around every big city across the nation. It needs to be done for at least half a week, not just one day. And not over a weekend where 60-70% of people dont work.

Simply shutting down at home to "protest" low frieght prices will do nothing, as the mega carriers will swallow up the tiny vacuum leak you would cause. The drivers for Swift, England, Werner etc are so far removed from the way trucking is supposed to be anyway. I talked to a few and they can not even comprehend the real reason for a protest or a shutdown.

I guarantee that most of those on here opposing the shutdown are company drivers barely making 40 cpm in a 62mph truck...as well as owner ops that piss and moan about cheap freight but when pish comes to shove they will get desperate and haul that $1.25 per mile load halfway across the U.S.

As stated many times already, this isn't just about H.O.S/ELD mandates.

It's about having to spend 2 hours checking in at a guard shack, receiving office, and a lumper, sit another three hours past your appt time, then sit in a dock for 4 hours while they hold a the driver if a sealed trailer hostage for shortages and damages.

It's about the parking problem.

The CDL puppy mill mentality and lack of training.

The illegal immigrants driving trucks that don't speak, read or write English.

The biggest issue should be trying to get the President, no matter who the President happens to be and Congress to stop believing everything spoon fed to them by the ATA/FMCSA and see the way things REALLY are out here.

The posts I've read here already are a perfect example of how modern steering wheel holders are their own worst enemy.

That's a great post full of facts, but how do you suggest we best proceed to work together in order to actually get something done?

As the old saying goes, nothing changes if nothing changes. We need changes, but getting it done won't be easy and will surely take time and a variety of resources.

 

Black smoke matters but my truck doesnt have any black smoke if it did id be reaching for my fire exitingwisher , silly name i cant take it seriously,.. But to be honest the only way a strike would work is if it came from the huge mega corporations, swift cr england etc.. The execs at these huge companies would have to order the strike because theres is no way a strike would work without it... If owner ops were the only ones that did a strike then these megas would be loving that because guess what they just took all ur business and after ur done with ur strike well u aint got no loads left to run cuz they took em all up, these mega companies would love a strike so they could further take away freight and undercut everybody and take over the whole market.... Each of these mega companies combined is about 100k trucks give or take , if they decided to park it then its make a difference but u would be hard pressed to get any of ceos and big wigs to csre about drivers when they are counting their millions in their bentleys and mansions pissing upon a golden toilet, a strike is a good idea in theory but i dont think it would ever work unless it started with the megas
