I know what I would do....talk to your DM (or whatever they call them now) not dispatch and tell him/her you want...no need a long run with time on it so you can get a re-set. That way you're under dispatch and not loafing (in their pea breans). If they say they ain't got nuttin' Tell them you'll be calling Safety to discuss your situation. They would rather have you under dispatch than just sitting somewhere with no load covered.

I noticed the same thing about myself. When I started doing 8.5 hour on duty days to chase my 70, I was having issues with road boredom. Not really tiredness, just a lack of motivation.

I bought my truck, and my bank account took a hit, so I decided to run normally again for a few weeks to refill the account. No more issues with motivation to drive.

Guess I needed something to motivate me!

If he pays for it, they might not care. It's not like the system can't be completely disabled with a couple feet of duct tape. You just have to play button games to get cruise control to work.

Well I’m on a load, delivers tomorrow in GA. Then I pick up in GA and deliver to Fort Wayne on Saturday.
    PERFECT!!!
I’ll be heading right into the snow storm. The load stops and so do I.
I’m going to plan ahead and find a nice cozy place to park and Walmart groceries 1st.

Can’t wait to go home next weds. Jeez at this rate of motivation and laziness I might not come back.
Not lazy, just tired. I don’t want to go another mile!! I don’t want to feel another bump on the interstate. I don’t want to pee in another water bottle! Been doing 6 hr days and even that is killing me. My heart is beating fast and such. Ughhhhhh
And I’m no rookie, just over worked with no fun or R and R.
