Doing the same run a day late. Shipper finally finished loading at 2100, only about 6 hrs later than it should have been. It was still possible to make the appt if I parked on the curb an hour or so. Provided of course there was zero traffic, perfect road conditions, and I was up to doing 2 all nighters in a row after being up all day.

That's a big Nope. So I drove an hour to the Carnesville Petro and just let the clock run out and declared it a layover. I told them to just reschedule the delivery appt +1 day. Had I been a hero and run it in on time, i'd have got there trashed and out of hours to lose a day anyway. This way, I'll be somewhat rested Friday morning and be able to function well enough to escape the next blizzard if I can manage a prompt reload. Probably less likely to be upside down in a ditch too.

Now at White's a day late enjoying a 10+ that will include 2 meals not from my cooler, and a good night's sleep!

I’ve been dealing with the weather in California and being loaded only to 79920. Guess they’re to lazy to get that last 80# on.

Just sayin.. my 7 yr old chains are still new in their little cotton cocoons resting in the storage box I added between the frame rails. Maybe this will be their year?

On the other hand, I got a brand new set of drive tires on with tread deep enough to lose a quarter in. So maybe not.

Should be passing thru the vicinity later this afternoon on my way to the Helen Keller backing up school in Tully. I'll wave using all my fingers.
