Coffee?? I have never been much of a coffee person but I do drink it every now and then. My preferred caffinatcaf beverage is Pepsi. I'm a native Tar Heel and Pepsi is originally from NC.

@buddyd157 If you dont mind me asking, how much cash would you recommend that I take with me? Everything directly related to the school, hotel, and transportation is covered. I'm talking about for food and other personal things. I'm thinking at least 200, which would be an average of fifty a week. Is that a good amount or would you recommend more? If you recommend more, how much more?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Well, everyone, I'm packed up and ready to go Saturday. Classes start Monday. Any tips to keep from being nervous?

The biggest tip I can offer is that you should be very careful to avoid losing your temper. I am very confident that at least some trucking schools intentionally try to piss trainees off, just to see if they can control their temper.

Their reasoning is that if you lose your temper in class, you will lose your temper in a shipping or receiving office.

If you find yourself getting irritated, take a couple deep breaths and stay calm. That does NOT mean you can't get angry or be upset. Just do it calmly. No cursing. No verbal threats or threatening movements.

Thanks for the info. I am volatile but this will give me a chance to tone it down. I only hope that my music will help keep me calm.
