I'm taking a load down to Florida next week. I'm tired of fighting I-80 and I-84 for a while.

 

When I say that we are always going to mud holes I am not kidding and not exaggerating... this was the place where I pick up today in KS...
Here I was going to the place.... such a little narrow road... I'm glad there was nobody coming my way.... or someone would have to back up....



Definitely A LOT of mud... But thankfully it wasn't raining or snowing....
There I was at the dock...


And on my way back to the paved roads...

 

Knoxville tonight

 

Decided to try my luck and drove to FJ in Granite City, IL to see if I could find a parking spot... any spot at 19:50 hrs.... I guess I was hoping for too much... Circumnavigated the whole place and found one, ONLY ONE spot in the dark... and there were already one or two trucks setting up to try to get it.... Looks like that FJ doesn't have reserved parking.... it's free for all.... and it does become a real ZOO at night....
So... I decided to use the rest of my last hr to come to a rest area.... where I am now...
But since I am taking a 34.... and not very excited about doing so in a rest area, I may call my company tomorrow and ask them to allow me to use 21 miles on PC to go back to a Pilot so that I can take a shower tomorrow.... the Peoplenet is set for 20 miles on PC.... I wonder what happens if one goes beyond that...

 

I hear you.... Floridahhhh.... Make sure you have something going out of Florida.... unless you want to spend some time there enjoying the warmer weather....
