In the 4 years I've been driving this is the worst company I've ever been at. They will tell you blatant lies to get you there, make deals and arrangements then back out of them then steal your pay check when you leave. AVOID THIS PLACE THEY WILL GET YOU IN S MESSED UP POSITION!!!

This is by far the worst company that I've ever worked for in 30 years of driving. They lie every time they tell you anything. 1990 pay scale. They advertise. 50CPM. I promise you, no one there makes .50CPM. They have an $800 a week guarantee and that is what you will get if your lucky. You will get maybe 1500 miles a week. The rest of your time will be spent sitting on a customer's lot with not even a rest room and no detention pay. If you quit , you must return the truck to Davenport, IA. They will not dispatch you to Davenport and they will charge you out of route miles at over $1.00 per mile if you go on your own. If you leave the truck at one of their other locations, they will charge you for abandoning the truck and a recovery fee. Either way you won't get a final paycheck. Once you tell them you quit, the $800 guarantee goes away and they will pay you .26CPM. If you get the truck back to Davenport, they will charge you, the price of your physical, drug screen and any other hiring expenses. So called weekends off is 34 hours from whenever you log off duty. They preach treating you with respect. They are the most disrespectful company I have ever seen. By the way they also own DTS out of Beloit, WI. Same deal with that company.

At the risk of upsetting people do you have proof of these accusations?

I ask because I am considering going to work at Wenger due to the close proximity to where I live. They have a great deal of freight coming and going about 20 minutes from where I live.

I also have a friend who is employed by wenger and makes easily $1300 a week and is home Friday afternoon and out again Monday morning as well as getting home weekly on occasion. He's had nothing but praise for them.

They offered me a lane at .45 cpm weekly home time and weekends off. Now I know that's not going to bring $1300 a week unless there's other pay in there but that should easily hit $900 range and I'd be happy there. My friend said there's no graduated pay anymore it's all flat rate .45cpm. I also asked about the .50cpm because I saw that here and was told no they haven't offered that it's .45.

I'd like to be clear I am asking simply because i don't want to make that move if there is something to this. I'm not saying there isnt but I've been around long enough to question things very seriously.

I've been blessed to not have any issues with the companies I work at and would like keeping it that way.

When I say friend I mean friend as well we have talked daily for many years and he went as far as saying don't use him for reference unless I wanted to he's not in it for a bonus...

I couldn't care less about that.
Ive been down the crap company road back in early 2000s although it could have been much worse Id rather not do that again. I don't care about the bling I care about can I make a good wage for my family. Im out driving for that reason alone it pays the bills and keeps a roof over our heads.

Thanks for assuming I wouldn’t get in writing and wouldn’t read a contract.

Simple questions met with hostility my goodness:( I see I am wasting time here.

If your friend likes it, then by all means go for it. Different strokes for different folks. It may be the best fit for you. Obviously wasn't for a few people.
