    Cab weight & the heavy, low-compression engines of the era. Had to strike a balance somewhere. Engine-forward, thus large car atop it. A “car” is an enclosure, chiefly for persons or freight.

    Conversely, COE is a smaller “car”.

    Well now that you say that, he could be saying "large marge" because I always thought it didn't sound exactly like "car". It sounds more like "carge" so you may be onto something there. I'll ask him next time I hear him.

    The Francis hot rod works great. Package said it was pretuned but I never trust those types of statements. Of course I checked it with my own meter and it is actually fairly low for simply slapping it into the mounting lug. Pleasantly surprised.

    Glad you’re happy too. I’m thankful to the old timer trucker that was in the store when I was looking. He sure was spot on with recommending this antenna.
