I inquired about putting a mechanical gauge on the engine. He informed me the oil pressure gauge in the dash is mechanical. Process of elimination.

And your apparent familiarity with Loki isn’t any type of giveaway there??

Hey @OLDSKOOLERnWV my uncle has a 96 international with a N14 celect. He keep getting low oil pressure readings on the gauge and kept getting the red stop light.
I put a Mechanical gauge on it to confirm weather it was low oil pressure or gauge or sensor .
Ended up just being the sensor. Like James and a couple others mentioned, those sensors were known to read inaccurate. They've updated them since then.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 17 others Thank this. -
My only guess is crank and cam position sensors, or wiring to them.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 13 others Thank this.

I recall changing an oil sensor unit on mine for similar reasons - I think it was reading way high.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 14 others Thank this.

I told them the same. Probably disturbed them when they were installing his gold plated air comp.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 14 others Thank this.

Sounds like lack of compromise..... a engine is a engine is a engine, they are just fueled differently. I’m thinking pull the air supply tube on the intake, cover the opening with 3 fingers spaced evenly and see if it is blowing back through the intake. Wondering about the compressor change out..... is that all they did?
If the intake valves are not seating it will blow back into the intake..... just a process of elimination.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 14 others Thank this. -
Perhaps, but I personally feel it’s more about how someone carries himself. The “posers” are easy enough to spot. Just look for the neck beard.jamespmack, cke, Feedman and 13 others Thank this.
