Have you noticed a difference in the disc brakes? Everyone I talk to loves them. Thinking I'll get them on my next trailer.....was gonna try and find a cutoff for my truck with them too.
Where is everyone #5

Yeah I can notice a difference, I can’t say it’s huge but it’s definitely there. I think a tractor trailer all disks would be real noticeable.Feedman, PoleCrusher, Tug Toy and 21 others Thank this.

Been a bit skerrrrrrrd to.
Bobtail, leaving the shop, I stood on it and boost hit 40+, and I think I lost traction on dry pavement.
Max heat, if pyro correct, is 900. Seems to like 1500-1600 RPM for a driving range now , for lower pyro.Feedman, stwik, PoleCrusher and 22 others Thank this. -
Lol! It’s ok... been on here for over 10 years and I’ve been driving for many more than that. Seen it all; heard it all... lolFeedman, PoleCrusher, Tug Toy and 16 others Thank this.

Y'all probably know this but, it's not more pressure, it's more "swept area". Kinda like having two door jams under the door instead of one. It has a larger footprint and more traction against the drum/ and or disk, depending on the braking system. The springs still exert the same amount of pressure.1951 ford, PoleCrusher, Tug Toy and 13 others Thank this.

Does a 30” and 36” chamber have the same size spring? I don’t know, I do know the larger the surface area the more pressure it’ll exert. Those air bags we were talking about that will lift a semi trailer don’t use a tremendous amount of psi the just has a lot is surface area. I was looking at those airbags after that. The ones I found were all rated at a max working pressure of 120psi, the only differences were the dimensions. My assumption is the 36 square inch chamber has a stronger spring for parking therefore a bigger surface area diaphragm to compress the spring.Feedman, 1951 ford, PoleCrusher and 18 others Thank this.

Is someone making moose work?Feedman, 1951 ford, PoleCrusher and 16 others Thank this. -
The air bags that we used for recovery work were something like 4'x4'x6' when fully inflated. 4 of them would lift a fully loaded reefer @ 7 psi.
I guess that is the comparison that you were making?Feedman, 1951 ford, PoleCrusher and 20 others Thank this. -
Gosh, that reminds me I have a whole set of Gearwrench sockets my wife bought me a long time ago. Are pretty neat being able to slip down over long threads or shanks.Feedman, 1951 ford, PoleCrusher and 18 others Thank this.
