If you want to be cheap and have a microwave in your truck, or just use a some hot similar space. I got a rubber cork from Lowe's for like 2 dollars, drill a hole slightly smaller than the stud temp sensor that sticks out of the bottom of the mirror. Use a small cup, put just enough water in it to go over the cork, I microwave the water for 3 minutes (700 watt microwave), than drop the cork in for like 3 minutes, take out of the boiled water with scissors, etc, push it onto the temp sensor stud. Your temp gauge will go up in the 70s/maybe 80, and back down within like 4 minutes, but it fools it, and keeps truck idling as long as you don't shut truck off, if you do...repeat process. Works for me everytime, no problems. Remember to take cork off, when your moving down the road..lol..Enjoy

Well you'll have to just install a new sensor if you melt it with that lighter you are attached to.
