Then you better take it to a shop that will tear into that APU and find the problem and fix it.
But I still stand by what was listed as attached to that inverter. What you should do ideally is add up the wattage of everything in there, make sure the total is no more than half the inverter's total capacity (Running capacity, not surge or starting capacity which is higher)
Anything else is beyond me. We never wanted to put APU's on the older trucks back then, they were too fancy, too heavy and not needed and so on. It speaks to the change in the attitude among trucking companies to have them now.Siinman Thanks this. -

You said it gives an error...if it is "alt" then that's an obvious charging issue, but if it's "eng", then that could be a lot of different things. If it's a more modern "evolution", thankfully it has a more sophisticated ecm that TK can plug in to that helps with diagnosis. If it's an older model, it's trial and error until they change the right part.
