A savvy entrepreneur could buy 1 million parking spots for $15 bucks and resell them to truckers tonite for $16 bucks and scoop up a cool $1 million in profit...

Or we could rebel. We could tar and feather the collectors of paid parking fees, much the same way patriots did to tax collectors.

Yep I'm sure ELD's have everything to do with how drivers park.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

When you don't park correctly in a legal spot the ELD will be stuck On Duty as the lane control alarms are going off inside the cab.

    shogun and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

And all the drivers that come in and make up parking spots at fuel island and the middle of the driveway are all on paper.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

So basically ELDs and technology are all but guaranteeing rest, reductions in backing space accidents, and courtesy.

    scottied67 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

I never felt so worn out until ELDs. They want you to sit 10 hours at crammed truck stops and sniff the fumes and hear all the unmuffled engine noises. I dare to speculate that thanks the ELDS the average dying rate of an American Trucker will go down from 61 to 55 in a few years to come. Before, you might have cheated but you were to live longer. You got all this time to consume so much more of all that ####ty Petro food too.

Lethargic truckers have a higher instance of heart, diabetes, and cancer problems than other professions. ELD's actually help the greater society by eliminating old truckers sooner so they cannot be a drag on the health care system.

PE_T, shogun, TallJoe and 1 other person Thank this.
