I havent seen that video yet. But the history of the GTO and how they hid it im the factory, street racing it, and how GM were selling them before any exec. knew about it. Is one great story. Since GM had a stricked cubic inch rule and anti. racing policy. Great history and as far as I am concerned with the history it makes it the first muscle car. -
Some people like getting paid to go both ways. I'd haul goats before I loaded pigs

Im to young for that time, I would have loved to live thru the muscle car time. Or 120 years prior. Always gave my dad crap for how slow he drove. Teased him. I knew he had some cool stuff when younger but I didnt know the full story till I was about 20 years old. My uncles filled me in. Guess he did alot of street racing around Cleveland. 55, 56, 57 chevys. But started to get beat up by some hemi's. His prized 56 2door bel aire was stolen with no engine. Same weekend a friends 55 was stolen, and a friend with a tow truck had never been seen again. So his action was to go the the cleveland chevy performance shop. He wanted a Chevelle, came home with a blue 1969 396 4spd Nova. Said some people made fun of the tiny nova. But not after riding in it or seeing it race. Guess it left some hemi guys very upset. That raced on I480 and the turnpike. It wasnt finished yet. The streets bough, cop and ravenna cops couldnt catch anything. But about 1970,71 they cops showed up with a 454 impala and some guys had some real trouble getting away after that.
One ride in my cousins 67 small block nova w/327 and a 4 speed and my butt pinned to the seat I knew the oldman drove slow by choice, not because he lacked the skill. Pops had to give this young kid a lesson. I paid for school that day. Had a million questions after it. -

This is how I spend my days now, I been in the pipeline since last year. Trying to get enough put back to start over with my own truck again. Maybe be a lot smarter about it the 2nd time around. A little bad luck and a shoestring start got me.

Lol thanks rank, we had a breakdown, some of the cars were getting parts with people in them. The one on the right is my younger brother. The one the left in one of my bestfriends. He was driving the blown 74 when we left the light down down and made some noise. City cop let us off because it was are wedding day. That truck had street tires, so it didnt hook and went up in smoke. Normally has 31.5 under it for track use. The Camaro on cheater slicks hooked and wheelied from the light 2 gears. This was what a cop on a sat afternoon sees while sitting in a alley!Feedman, cke, PoleCrusher and 10 others Thank this. -
Stuf like this
Guy lives in a mansion with secret service telling you an me what we need for home protection. How in the Hell could he possibly have an idea of what you need at your house? If he told his his security force to use a double barrel only, what do you think they would say? An what about your law enforcement groups?
I was at the gun range when I saw some young people shooting. Early 20s. One girl had gotten attacked by home invaders. Single woman, robbed and beaten in her own home. So, she’s out looking at guns with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend. She’s lucky, right? Yep. Bet she gets a good night’s sleep every night. It would be foolish of me to say that I understand what she’s been through, because I have not. I sure as Hell wouldn’t tell her to buy a double barrel shotgun and fire it into the air.
