A cheap extension cord is 20 or less.

I never check the price but you can buy it by the foot at low’s or Home Depot with out the ends

Its probably cheaper just to get one from Wal-Mart or harbor freight. If i was running a 100 ft to run a grinder or half inch drive drill i'd want a better quality one that won't tangle up the first time you roll it up. But just to run a strobe light that isn't getting rolled up everyone you use it? Going cheap is fine.

why not get waterproof switch at a marine dealer and run them off existing wiring already in place? that's what my XL RGN had

and the only states I can remember that you need them in the rear were FL and CO. CO will need up to 3 in back depending on load size for nighttime travel, Fl will require the 1 in back to be a 360 rotating type if over 12' wide so the flat kind wont help unless you want it there just as an attention getter.
