This position is designed to develop individuals who want to become DOT drivers but do not have the required license or tractor/trailer experience. A primary requirement of this program is that the individual must obtain a CDL–Permit within two months of entering into the program.
Upon successful completion of the driver training program, the expectation is to promote the trainee to a DOT Route Service Associate.

Find a trucking school or join a company that will indenture you under contract or promissary note to repay thousands in tuition costs should YOU FAIL to stay employed a certain amount of time. You will expect collections actions, such as going to your future workplace, calling same, calling your family and friends and so on until you pay. And pay and pay. If you fail then they will seek out whomever you are employed with and seek a judgement from Courthouse to garnish your wages at your employer. Once done, your employer cuts your paycheck down to a bare minimum protected amount, something like 70 dollars cash per week, all else sent to the Judgement awardee. You have no say in this debt action against you. Your credit can be destroyed, it will take you 7 years to get it back. If you hold assets like mortgage, many cars etc, then liens will be imposed on them by your creditor. On and on and on.
Eventually you will need to take a Arkansas road test along with all the other tests you require. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THAT TEST IN A MANUAL TRUCK. NEVER A AUTOMATIC. You will be issued a restriction against you if you showed up for CDL Driving test in just a Automatic truck. -
Apply to www.cfidrive.com and attend their cdl training.RoadRooster Thanks this.

A potential school you may consider
Commercial Driver Training | Arkansas State University - Newport
You may qualify for state funding. Several companies recruit from here as well.
