Meaning to say that's what I'm planning to do I have no reason to lie... You people are drunk off the Kool aid, these rates are horrible.. Van rates are comparable.. The Facebook page is full of complaints of freight.. And it hasn't just started this season.. Buuuuuuuut hey what do I know lol

 

It's February following a slow Q4 at a flatbed company.

Yep. I don't think rates will come up much all year. Same thing happened in 2016. Rates went down at the end of 2015 for the winter and never really came back up there entire year of 2016.

-0.3%? LOL. We're not talking -3% or -30%.

To throw out statistics without context is futile. But hey, it does generate clicks and if you want to read the whole story, you have to sign up to his blog to gain access.

I agree, and 2020 being an election year, which are historically weak, I don't see much improvement then either.
Time to really tighten the belt on your cost and operation.

 

Yep. Man, there goes me buying a new truck. Lol. J/K. I have no plans of bigger payments or more payments. Lol

 

Volume might not be down but the rates are across the board. I've got my own customers now that are paying above avg market rates so I'm ok good. But I do still pull load board freight to get back. There are still some decent rates out there but nothing close to last summer. I don't think we'll see a market like last summer till after the next election. And then it's going to depend on who wins.
