Everyone quit SWIFT!!!!

So you're not filling out paperwork, W2/1099, I9 forms to verify eligibility to work in the US, emergency contacts, HR forms, insurance, etc? Not signing any employment agreements?

Sounds legit!

 

I only fill out W4, I9, the usual HR forms. I never had to fill out W2/1099 nor any garnishments. For people I owe money to, they will have to find out where I work and file garnishment.

 

I’ve had jobs where after filling out the paperwork I had to get straight to work! W2 forms and all.
The one job where I didn’t have all of that (just a W2) was at a Baker’s shoe store (this was back in the mid 1990s,and the company had filed for bankruptcy and ultimately,liquidation). I was there to help them clear out all the remaining stock from the store before it closed it’s doors forever.

 

If you have a SSN,they’ll find out. Maybe not immediately, but they will find out. Years ago, I remember working at a McDonald’s in Indiana and there were at least two employees who owed child support(one to Indiana,the other was originally from Mississippi,who notified Indiana). Once the child support garnishment start coming in on their checks, they quit!

 

Oh hell yeah, I will do the same and quit!

Most likely when your employer files your payroll taxes, the agencies cross check for garnishments and you get hit with deductions.

 

Well, thanks for the warnings, folks. I'll avoid this place like the plague.
Back when I was looking up trucking companies, I had no idea where Swift's closest terminal was located and i did a google maps search and it turns out it was two buildings over. LOL

 

If everyone quit Swift then who would we laugh at?

 

FedEx Ground,Western Express,CRST,the occasional O/O. Plenty of organizations of ill repute on the list.
