The only reason I need to know my cost to operate is so I can see areas that need improvement to increase my profits. Now, I don't haul for a mileage rate plus FSC so for me it's not as critical. I can tell you my fixed cost per mile but my variable cost per mile varies so that one is only a guesstimate. There's more than 1 way to keep the books and just because someone does it different than you doesn't mean they are doing it right or wrong. I bet I even figure my running rate per mile different than you do. Doesn't make either way right or wrong, just two different calculations. The"traditional" way works but for me, my way is more accurate for MY business.PoleCrusher, Mr huds, popcorn169 and 2 others Thank this.

Well I'll give it to Mercer. They are taking care of the broker calling #### I give them a huge thumbs up for that.

I really don’t know anything about them. I’ve seen them advertising on social media and figured that’s who you were going to.TruckerPete1990 Thanks this.

Gotta load foam panel insulation next week...need tarp on nose....will smoke tarp be ok (10×12)?
-
What city and state is it loading out of? If its Tallmadge that wont work.
-
Rockford, il
-
That's the same shipper as Tallmadge. I can only speak from my experience that smoke tarp doesn't work with them, they want the first several feet of the load covered.
-
Ok...well ive got a 16x24 that should do it

Order entry says 12 straps and min 10x12 nose tarp
