Why go to all that trouble for a deer?
Just walk into a store and buy the meat.
Or a restaurant. Don’t even have to cook or clean up.
I’m lazy. Scarf down and go.

 

for the one you cant buy deer in a restaurant though mostly just joking around deer or fresh beef is much better one delivered to stores like comparing frozen fish to freshly caught fish and frying it within an hour or two. as I said was joking that aside I own my own land and livestock every one they have a use until they no longer have one they will be used as meat horses included I draw the line being dogs, cats but I hear some people eat those I don't pass judgment or other animals rodents includes some countries its common to eat your pest like rats, cats, dogs. I have harvested deer from side road mostly freshly killed that I witnessed dying to know it was recent same with other animals I hate seeing wasted meat or food go to waste is the point.

Yes there are restaurants that serve “exotic” meat. Last one I remember. Reported anything shot, was the most in demand. I admit, these places are the exception. Expensive too.

 

ya I don't pretend be expert of laws in other states but in Texas Commercial Venison Sales is banned as for exotics wouldn't know much on that

Deer are not attracted to piss. Piss only wards them off. Basket of fresh apples is what dear have a hankering for. Trouble is keeping the applese fresh long enough for the deer to come after the apples. Alas this is what gets many poachers in trouble here in Maine. Having the ability to process deer year round the game wardens will come calling. The first thing the wardens look for is a apple tree on the poachers property. It is called poching in Maine when something is killed out of season.

Yes I too have heard of exotic eateries. Yet the only exotic meats I get to go for these days is what the wife contrives from her keto diet.
