I'm sure lots of different reasons but for me the best bet is to control my own cash. I put every expense on my business credit card and then pay it off monthly. I get cash back rewards from that...

You quit the company. WHY would you expect them to continue to carry you in their log system? If you were on paper logs would you expect to be sending logs into the company after the date you quit? Mercer, or any other company, has zero responsibility for what you do once you quit.
Remember Mercer is one of the "big boy companies" they don't hold your hand, they let you run things your way. If you don't know these things it is not any company's fault.
Hopefully you know to send your plate back in and then get all Mercer's decals off the truck. Either send those and the IFTA sticker back in, or send clear picture showing they have been removed from the truck, and finally you need to return the permit book. Once those are received , and Mercer reviews your accounts to determine you don't owe them anything such as loans from Mpact for tires or something else, you will get the remainder of your money. That is in compliance with federal motor carrier leasing regulations. Most companies would have taken your plate immediately when you quit, then you'd be running with no registration or insurance.Last edited: Apr 4, 2019
