First off their base cpm is low, I have over a years exp, and was.getting .42cpm, then they give you "upto" a .05 cpm bonus paid weekly based on a monthly performance review. This is .01 for an above 8mpg fuel mileage, and .01 for no service failures, .02 for safety, .01 for "utilization. Meaning u haul heavy reefer loads thru mountains and they want you to get over mpg, and that utilization thing is entirely out of ur control, as it's based on how many miles u run monthly. U have to get 9500 in order to attain that bonus, seems easy right? I hah months where I hadn't gone home for 3 months but only got 1800 miles a week. They don't know how to plan loads correctly so u frequntly end sitting on a load longer than needed.
And on top of low miles, and poor pay, u get HHG miles. Meaning zipcode to zipcode. And u can't take a large portion of toll roads. I often lost between 75-300 miles on every load especially in the Northeast due to routing around tolls but being paid as if u took those tolls.

The manager a guy named Jon frequently Insults the driver's if he feels u did something that cost them money. Like if ur trlr needs new tires due to chunks missing but breakdown says no, and u refuse.to leave until the tires are replaced. They're going to retaliate by lowering ur miles. If you go into a shop to get ur radio fixed, b c driving 600 miles without something to listen to is ridiculous, they geg mad and sit u for 35 hours without a load. Some dispatchers are good and some are horrible. Trucks are bare bones, and if u don't get.one with satellite TV in it already it's a 2 year wait-list. T680s have many many problems constantly, And internationals are fewer and fewer lately. Trlrs are never clean. No truck washes allowed except at terminals and they will deduct.it out.of ur pay if u do it.all trucks and trlrs have super singles. They don't pay for cat scales but they do reimburse u on ur check.
They have driver facing cameras, they have speed limit sign reading cameras and they activate the driver cam if u speed, if u get more than 3 overspend events in a month u lose part of ur bonus, no 34 hour resets here, And if u don't watch ur 70.closely they'll give u a load u don't have hours for and blame u bc "it's not their job to check ur hours b4 planning loads". Southeast regional is the biggest scam as they stick them all in live loads and unloads in Atlanta. Typically 1600 miles a week. Home time isn't every weekend, it's 34 hours per week on a non specified day. They recently bought out super service LLC and have too many drivers and not enough freight. If ur truck breaks down in a major way it'll be a 4-5 day wait b4 u get a new truck. Breakdown pay is $75 layover pay is also $75 and detention pay is $15 an hour after 2.hours.with a maximum of $80 (notbbroken down Into 15 minute increments)
I once sat in ellenwood ga terminal for 48 hours bc "they didn't have a single load in all of georgia"
When I called to complain about that they tolt me it was bc I went into the shop to get something fixed that they felt didn't need to be fixed even tho it was covered under warranty.
I worked here a total of almost a year. 2018-2019, and the only good thing I can say about it is that they do give u significant freedom in fueling and route planning do long as u stay off of their "restricted toll list"
Never had issues being paid on time but did have a few occasions where they tried to cheat me out of layover pay or detention pay.
Trainers are usually fairly good with exp, and they do have alot of dedicated if u live in or near Minnesota. Assuming u can tolerate driver facing cameras, and super singles.
Oh and they don't provide chains for ur tires even tho they run to ca alot.
Teams avoid at all costs. Miles aren't there for u and u'll regret going to team here.

Vic Firth and Lonesome Thank this.

.42 per mile and unattainable dangling carrot bonuses. Toss in driver cameras and you're correct, that's a bad company.

    28 and Metallica88 Thank this.

I think once the camera was turned on, that would be a good time to change my underwear.

Well it's tough to judge a company by one disgruntled driver

You guessed wrong my friend, avoid at all costs. The reefer fleet supervisor called.me after I quit to insult me twice. I threatened a report to Dept of labor for harrasment. And only then did he stop. So keep that in mind. If.u want I record.my calls so I can see about uploading the conversation

While I may be disgruntled these things I have stated are all facts, and I can prove every single one of them. Please refrain from making statements belittling the almost year of hell I went thru

Your right I'm sensitive to being ####ed over, bent over a barrel without lube. It ain't ####ing fun making 1800-1900 average weekly miles while your otr and staying out for 2 months, I could've gone home every 2 weeks, but loads near me are sparse so it's hard to get out after home time, and.i hoped staying g out would increase my miles but it didn't. I spent at least $300 sending the dms food from pizza to mcdonalds (yes McDonald's delivered with Uber eats) as bribes of sorts to try and get good miles. It wasn't that I wasn't liked, it was them over hiring and under booking. Not enough trucks for all the driver's, not enough freight either. Yet they still do orientation every Monday and hire roughly 30 people. Their turnover is high. I had 5 different trucks in the span of 9-10 months, 4 of which were kenworths, 1 was an International. All but the international had serious issues or issues that caused me to have to get work done in excess of a week. Except for the international (long story I got hit in a parking lot by a PTL trainee driver)
So excuse me if I'm upset that on top of all that and even with me giving a 2 week notice they decide they need to call and throw insults at me immediately after turning in the truck and going to the airport. I worked weeks at a time for them without a 34, or break of any kind. I ran my hours everyday, never had a late load, never had an accident, all I asked was that they get me the miles regardless of where they needed me to go. Told them I'm ok to.go anywhere u need me but I wouldn't tolerate any less than 2100 miles a week as an otr driver I have a hard time believing that this is an unreasonable request considering my performance and time away from home.
