I am not a full time trucker as most of you however, when I do run it is for several days to weeks at a time. My bubble truck has a fridge, microwave, sink, a small grill and, room to move around in. I wear contact lenses so having a sink is really a must, making fresh coffee with a French press in the morning is great, having ice cream for desert is wonderful.

The older you get the less you like to compromise on creature comforts. I don't watch TV but I do have a mobile hot spot. The idea that you can go to a market and buy food (real food) and have it when you like is a real plus. Better food for less than fast food and less wasted time. Personally I try to avoid truck stops and having all the stuff allows you to make that call.

20 years ago I may have agreed with you guys about a coffin sleeper just on looks, I will be 59 next month, after a hard day I'm not sure I could get into one today.

The Chrysler Pacifica ( minivan that replaced the Town & Country ) is getting good reviews on the car mags. Might want to compare it to the other choices.

I would love to have a big house, but my tractor already weighs 25,000 with the small sleeper.

My flat top 48 fits me just right. Even with the wife along it ain't too awful bad for a couple days. Longer than that and I'm ready to send her home Greyhound.
