So sitting in a dock is not earning PTO time?
I’m thinking they’re just trying to save money on UT payouts.
I can see people easily abusing this UT system too, which is against ethical behavior and should be handled individually, IMO.
But far too often it seems to me the mentality is to punish everyone in Walmart because of the actions of a few.
Maybe I’m a little fuzzy on what’s being said regarding dwell time though... -
It's so ironic to me that WM tries to get their drivers out of the DC as fast as possible (they are on the WM clock). On the other hand, they couldn't give two rats about other company drivers sitting for hours waiting to be unloaded.
I'm glad I rarely get one of their loads.Dna Mach, Northeasterner, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this. -
Omega1 Thanks this.

This was about 97 or so.

All I can say is that all that ridiculous wait time only pushes up the price of goods.

I can understand them wanting to get their trucks out fast but making outside carriers wait well beyond their appointment times is insulting.
What really did it for us was when we dropped one of our trailers empty in the Red Bluff DC... and WM loaded it and sent it out on another outside carrier. It took us a week to get that trailer back and they didn't want to pay anything for trailer rental.Last edited: Apr 22, 2019
