I myself have been looking at transferring to buckeye. Only, I despise chaining up..not sure how much of that they do but I'd imagine going up through Flagstaff area would suck in winter. I'm not familiar with that region. I think they service southern CA too
-
We had a guy transfer out there from Menomonie and he took a chain up class. I don’t know how necessary it is out there either or maybe just a blanket rule for the whole western side of things.
Living in the Midwest for so long I’m not a stranger to bad weather but I’ve never chained up. -
Buckeye guys help the grocery DC in McCarran NV near Reno. Everybody has to chain up when snow accumulates over Donner Pass on I-80. This year it snowed there every week. Some guys chained up more than 30 times this winter.
dboy817 and TransplantBadger Thank this. -
Helping a DC 730 miles away.
Wow. -
That's not uncommon when you stre on a day program and don't have to slip seat.
-
I’ve pulled loads for North Platte, Harrisonville, Ottawa... none of those is THAT far away though...
-
I'm glad you mentioned that, I think going from not having to chain at all (texas) to that would be too much of a work culture shock for me!! I'm sure you adapt but geez!!TransplantBadger Thanks this.

I bet those guys even get their gloves dirty.
