Onboarding is a pretty stressful week. Even though you know how to drive etc., they are assessing your skills Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday is the final assessment/make it or break it day.

Definitely know how to shift a 10 speed. They have a backing course, and 3 different road courses to get an idea of how you drive. Brush up on your pre trip skills. They do show you what Walmart expects for a pretrip but if you haven’t been doing pre trips regularly it could be challenging to remember it all.

They provide a hotel with your own room (no roommate) and they feed you breakfast/lunch everyday. They give you a card with $ on it for dinners all week. Depending on where you stay there are some good local eats. BBQ etc.

The only time I spent my own money was on the flight home at the airport, I got some water and nuts.

All in all it’s a very impressive program they have set up. You’re tested by fellow WM drivers from all over the country. Very friendly and answer all your questions. I liked them because they were real...not recruiter style talking ya know?

    Hope this helps you.

Benefits are awesome (at least for me they are compared to other companies I’ve worked for). They expect a lot, and expect you to be a professional. For what they are paying us, it’s worth it to me to do what they say.

I was there in Bentonville as well last week. Very stressful but I got through it with few problems. Trainers were excellent and very helpful (Yo, Vinny!”). The pretrip was the most difficult because they want you to do it their way. Word of advice on the backing scenarios: get out and look. Even if you get out 10 times. It’s better than hitting a trailer.
