At the end of the day,its the company choice to hire or not, they may not like your appearance, attitude, and so on,and just use the physical as an excuse,

The machine isn't weighted, it measures pressure. So essentially everyone has the same resistance on the machine. Its tests how much psi you personally can create. Everyone should exhibit some amount of exhaustion as your required to "go all out".
-
That could be true, as well, because you take a blood pressure test after, not necessarily immediately but within 20 mins

I wonder if all Iowa trucking companies do this stress test

Well I'm glad to see this post
...next week i have to take one of these agility test , I'm 54 yrs old and have. never had any problems but this test kind've worries me alittle. Not sure what expect with this
Maybe i should hold off on putting a notice of resignation at the company I'm with right now , until I'm sure i pass this test , sure they are going to mad as hell that i missed another day at work , but it seems that i cannot be honest with them until i know i have this new job in the bag.
Took today off from the job i have now ( for 4 yrs ) for the 2nd interview and they sent me for the dot exame and drug test.
What would you guys do if you were me ?
1) Keep my mouth shut and not give them a notice of intent
Or
2) Put in a 2 week notice tomarrow and hope i pass this agility test next week
3) tell the truth - I'm quiting but i don't know if i will pass this test so i will be back to work if not -
No brainer, keep your mouth shut! Once you've secured the new gig, then give them notice, or just tell them to pound sand (no right or wrong way to tell them you're leaving)
-
.....keep quite until you have another job.
superflow Thanks this. -
Thanks guys
....i know you're right.
One more question :
We live in a "right to work " state so that means they can fire us for anything at anytime without reason
So doesn't that also mean the driver can quit at anytime without reason ?
So technically they could fire me for giving them a 2 week notice -
YOU can terminate your employment anytime, for any reason, with or without notice in ANY state. The right to work, or not, strictly relates to the employers.

Grass range fed ones at that.
I was not much in my time. But 48000 pounds in a few hours is plenty. Maybe that is what they should do. 400 120 pound cases full of dumbell weights. Have it done by lunch in order to continue orientation. None of that BS gym stuff.Frank Speak Thanks this.
