Hey thank you so much for attaching that Food Guideline. I go to Canada with loads for several years now, cook on my truck, never been bothered, however I will say the USA side is more of a pain especially at the Detroit/Windsor Ambassador Bridge crossing I heard their is a form to fill out, I guess it's short and you can mark that you have food. If anyone has the download link that be great. Thanks again.

No form to fill in when entering the U.S. in a truck. When you get to U.S. customs and they ask if you have anything to declare, say "Yes, I have food." If they ask what kind, tell them. If you don't say that you have food and then they find out that you do, they can fine you. As for what food you cannot take into the states, the one you shouldn't even try are citrus, peppers, tomatoes and apples (unless they were purchased in the US and have the original stickers on them and your receipt from the store). As to what meats, it changes. Check the Customs website or ask the officer when you are at the booth. They usually have a pamphlet.
Also, if you have a dog or cat with you, whatever meat is not allowed into the country cannot be in their food either.BigHossVolvo and free spirited1 Thank this. -
Best Reply! No Fresh Meat, Must be processed and packaged, I have cooked/seasoned chicken breasts and meat balls, and they have no issues. However they always tell me, that both of those would be dis-allowed if they were fresh/uncooked. Lamb of any kind is a NO GO.
